1- Job DescriptionDirector of Nursing - long term care, adult nursingFor the right candidate, we will provide some relocation assistance to beautiful Milwaukee, WI!You should either have a RN licensure in the state of Wisconsin or be able to quickly obtain this licensure upon arrival to Wisconsin!We are a full service hospital and we are seeking a Director of Nursing to join our exceptional team of healthcare professionals for our long term care/adult nursing department! The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 3 years direct supervisory experience with advanced knowledge and experience in long term care and adult nursing.What will you be doing? Please keep reading...- Supervising and coordinating programs, functions, and activities needed to insure that patient care and nursing practice standards and facility policies and procedures are upheld- Providing a variety of proactive services to coordinate quality assessment and improvement acts as a resource to all departments as well as coordinates nursing services related to resident care and services with other resident departments- Supervising nursing and central supply staff- Designation of charge nurse personnel and duties per HFS 132.6- Supervising the activities and training of nursing personnel- Developing and maintaining standard nursing practice, nursing policy, and procedure and written job descriptions for nursing personnel- Coordinating nursing services with other resident departmentsWhat is required for this position? Please see below...- 3+ years of progressive leadership experience and direct nursing supervisory experience with advanced knowledge and experience in long term care and adult nursing- Current WI RN licensure and / or ability to quickly obtain licensure- BSN, MSN, or related degree required- Knowledge and experience certifying and regulating agency standards and regulations related to long term care or ability to achieve in a limited period of time- Advanced knowledge and skills in adult nursing practices- Excellent communication and documentation skillsAdditional position details include:- Full-time permanent position- Shift: 1st shift- Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM- Hourly rate: Min: $30.52, Max: $47.31- Comprehensive benefits- Some relocation assistance availableWe offer an exceptional work environment with a very friendly and professional staff! List of requirements:
Candidates will need at least a BA/BS in the subject area they will be teaching, although minors or concentrations can be acceptable for the following areas: chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer science and Spanish. Experience working with children between the ages of 5-18 is preferred. The ability to coach or direct extracurricular activities is very helpful. Teacher certification is not required.
